Yes, if any one of the Top 3 teams are unable to compete then the next option goes to the 4th place team. If two of the Top 3 are unable then the 4th and 5th place teams have the opportunity. That is correct - the roster registering for the Nationals teams must come from teams that qualified for Nationals. If your team that qualified for Nationals doesn't have enough players to compete at Nationals you have the option of either having other MIST competitors from your high school join the basketball team or merge with the other qualifying teams. Be mindful, however, that the decision to join has to be an agreement between both teams and that the other teams that placed do have the option to not add others to their team.
